The March 13, 14 and 27, 28 low-cost spay and neuter and vaccination clinics were a huge success! Many people contributed to the success of these very accessible clinics that had not happened in quite awhile. Big thanks to To’Nanees’Dizi Chapter House for working with us to use their building and parking lot locations, as we needed a building for post-surgery recovery of animals, and with the impact of COVID-19 that has been almost impossible to find.
The numbers from the two weekends combined is 178 spay/neuters and 1400 vaccinations provided. The community overwhelmingly responded and participated. On the first weekend, we actually ran out of vaccinations and had to cancel Sunday. We also learned that we really need a full group of volunteers to help things run smoothly. We are very grateful to The Parker Project for working with us and bringing these services, and also to Coconino Humane Association, who accepted animal surrenders on Sunday each clinic, for a total of 64 animals from both Sundays. Big thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so hard and helped deliver so many services.
